GREAT MUSIC !

Wednesday, 30 Nov 2016

Alpargata is one of the most well-known fusion bands in Spain since the early 2000s. This project results from the mix of many styles and genres: salsa, cumbia, flamenco, progressive rock, psicodelia... The difference between Alpargata and other contemporary bands consists in the performatic agitating intentions. They assume a dadaistic mood on stage, where comedy and improvisation are the main tools to make the audience become an active part of the show. Alpargata has changed its skin several times, incorporating different and experimental styles in each musical production.

HOLA! NEW MENU

Tuesday, 15 Nov 2016

Today, we launched our new menu.

We do this twice a year, as we try to use seasonal ingredients. As a result,  we are sorry to say 'good-bye' to one of yours and ours favourite dish, the Berenjenas con Miel.

But, don't worry! Now, we offer more tapas than ever.

One of our new favourites is the Ensadilla Rusa - a traditional tapa served throughout every region of Spain, with little variation. Our Ensaladilla Rusa is a perfectly balanced mixture of potatoes, tuna, carrots, peas and roasted red papers with mayonnaise.

The second new favourite is the Morcilla en Tomate. Morcilla is also made in all regions in Spain. This is a black rice pudding dish in tomato sauce. Our Morcilla comes from Burgos and has a dry firm texture, due to the inclusion of rice.

The Puntillas are a must try dish when in Spain. They are tiny deep-fried squid  simply sprinkled with sea salt. Squeeze a bit of lemon on top and you'll understand - just delicious. We served them with a bit of ali-oli too.

Finally, you have to try our Chocolate con Aceite de Oliva dessert. It's dark chocolate with olive oil and flakes of sea salt.
